Hello there AC fans, and welcome to the blog today! It’s Meghann Andrew with you, wishing you a very happy new year! Now that the holiday season is behind us, I’m sure we have a lot of thanking to do, and what better way to do that than with a handmade card? Today I’m here to share three very different cards that I created using the Wishes for You cardmaking sticker book and the Head in the Clouds collection, and no matter what your style, these supplies will make something lovely for everyone you need to thank!
I created three cards in my short cardmaking session—all using the same supplies and colors, but with very different styles. First, I started off with a floral feminine card, full of flowers, hearts and butterflies. It doesn’t get much more girly than that!
The “you are awesome” sticker from the Wishes for You cardmaking sticker book was the perfect flowery sentiment to add to the cut apart 3” x 4” journaling card from the Friends are Forever paper. I added a BIG floral die cut from the Head in the Clouds ephemera die cut pack at the base to add some weight, since I was stacking the sentiment sticker and a cute teacup sticker from the Head in the Clouds cardstock stickers at the top. A few tiny heart stickers and a heart enamel dot finished off this pretty card, perfect for anyone who loves flowers and lots of pink!
My next card does a 180 on the last with a clean, graphic style, but kept the same colors as I used on my floral card. I simply used a piece of smooth, white cardstock as my base, adding sponged hearts using the Vicki Boutin stencil and color wheel sets. I started with the lightest pink at the top, moving to a darker pink in the middle, then finished with a mix of the navy blue and dark pink at the base to create purple. I love that these little ink pad pie pieces come apart from the set to make this such an easy technique! After my ink was dry, I added the clean, black sentiment from the Wishes for You cardmaking sticker book. To finish off this graphic card, I added the Head in the Clouds puffy heart stickers, color blocking them with the sponged hearts.
My final card is perfect for your whimsical friend who loves unicorns and fairy tales. The base of my card was made with the starry pink Fairy Tale Photos patterned paper. Next, I topped it with the lovely foiled cloud journaling spot, which held the “thanks so much” sentiment from the Wishes for You cardmaking sticker book. A pretty purple unicorn found on the Head in the Clouds cardstock stickers sits at the base of my card, and my second greeting, “you are a star” was layered with a dark purple star sticker at the top of my card, adhered with dimensional adhesive to make it stand out. A few enamel sparkles and star stickers in pink, teal and purple finished the card perfectly.
No matter what style you prefer, there is a perfect “thank you” greeting to be found in the American Crafts Wishes for You cardmaking sticker book, and when paired with the Head in the Clouds collection, you can show someone how thankful you are in a beautiful way! Thanks for stopping by today!
