Holiday Projects: Card by Lucile

Hello friends! It’s Lucile and today I’d like to share with you two cards I made for Holiday. I love added a nice card with the presents that I offer. This allows you to add a small message to the gift. This year, I wanted to make cards with original shapes. For the realized I mixed "New Day" collection of Dear Lizzy and « Sweater Weather » collection.

I made two cards. The first in the shape of a snowball and the second in volume represents a fireplace. The most interesting was to use a collection more summer for a realization of winter. It's very easy to use collections for another theme, just select the papers and the embellishment in function of their color.

For the first card, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the shape of the snowball. It is also possible to do it using a model or drawing it. I also added sewing around the snowball, I love this effect.

First, I decorated the interior of the snowball by making a village in the mountains. I cut houses, firs and mountains in a paper. Then, with my silhouette, I cut poinsettias. I have assembled it with brads. I also cut foliage in different papers. Finally, I added a title. To be able to write a message, I added a tag that I slipped between two papers from the bottom of the card.

For the second card, I wanted to make it in volume. So I cut a rectangle pattern in which I cut an arc to form a fireplace. On the top I cut a slot to be able to add a tag to write a message. To decorate my fireplace, I sewed a garland in which I added socks and different foliage. Finally, I added an ephemera with a sentence.

I hope you like these holiday cards. Thanks for reading!
