Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here and today I’m back with an easy floral layout using the brand new Goldenrod collection by American Crafts and 1canoe2.
When I first got this collection, I instantly fell in love with the Raleigh Floral pattern paper. I really wanted to make it the centerpiece of my design but I didn’t want a dark background. So I fussycut all the flowers leaving a little border around (I really adore this look). Then I adhered all the cut images on a white piece of cardstock, basically recreating the same pattern on a lighter background.
I decided to use foam dots instead of regular adhesive to make my pattern three-dimensional and more exciting.
Since I knew I’d be adding my photo and title in the middle, I didn’t add any of the flowers there. I just kept the extra pieces for a future project.
To embellish around my photo, I kept things simple. I used a few floral images from the cardstock sticker sheet and I also fussy cut a floral bouquet image from the 6×6 paper pad. I also brought in a puffy sticker just because it was too adorable and had the perfect spot right next to my photo.
For the title I used a chipboard sticker from the thickers set and paired it with a phrase from the cardstock sticker sheet. I also added a small piece of washi tape to give some ground for my title.
That’s pretty much it. As I said at the beginning it’s a simple page but I’m madly in love with the finished result. The floral images are truly magical and I think this color combination is perfect for any fall projects.
I really hope you enjoyed this and you got inspired to create something fun and beautiful with your own favorite Goldenrod supplies. Until next time, happy crafting!
