Hello, friends! Jana Eubank here with my very first try at paint pouring art using the NEW Color Pour collection!
When I received my box of Color Pour goodies, I squealed with excitement! I've never done a project like this, and I couldn't wait to try my hand at it! I was especially happy I was sent a range of aqua paints (Tidal Wave) to play with … (How in the world did they know Aqua is my favorite color?!!) … not to mention all of the fun glitters and mica and foil flakes that were calling my name!
I do have one warning for you … even though it is easy … it is ADDICTING! Here's a quick peek at what I created.
I created these two to hang together in my scrapbook room. They are a little bit different from one another … I will explain how below.
First, the top one. This one is my favorite! I just love the way the marbling came out with the bright aqua as the main color.
Besides swirling the paint around on the canvas, my favorite part was decorating the wet paint with the gold and iridescent mica flakes and glitters.
The second canvas was fun to make, too. This time I experimented by mixing the chunky glitter in with the paint, creating a textured effect.
