Hello scrappy friends! It’s Zinia here and today I’m going to share with you a layout I created using the cute images from Shimelle’s latest collection, Sparkle City.
The idea for this design came to me when I was looking at the sticker book from this collection. There’s a sheet full of tiny little icons of all sorts of fun details! There are cameras, birds, food and everything in between.
I am obsessed with all the cute icons, so I decided to base my layout around them. It's basically a magical vortex of cute things. To start, I cut out a large cloud from the journaling pad and placed it in the middle of my page.
Next, I started adding little icons around it. I started with some rub-ons. It’s always a good idea to use your rub-ons because you need a flat surface. Other embellishments make it difficult to find a flat surface on your project.
Next, I added icons from the sticker book and some small pieces from the ephemera pack. I adhered those using foam dots to add a little bit of dimension to the design as well as give the impression that these items are flying over the page.
Once all the “larger” icons were in place, I added some small stars from the sticker book and enamel pack to fill the gaps in between.
Last but not least, I added a few fine ink splatters at the outer edges of the design in various bright colors. I hope you love this layout idea as much as I do! Happy Crafting!
