Hi there AC fans! I'm Obed Marshall and today, I’ll be giving you my tips for creating a non-traditional layout. I love paper crafting DIY projects! I’m always looking for new ways or materials to use in my projects. Layouts are a traditional format in paper crafting and scrapbooking but let’s see how we can make a nontraditional layout using the new “Picnic In The Park” collection by Amy Tangerine.

Me encantan las manualidades, pero especialmente la combinación de manualidades con proyectos de bricolaje. Siempre estoy buscando nuevas formas o materiales para usar en mis proyectos. TIP 1: Try to use something that you already have at home. I turned an ordinary wooden tray into a shadow box/ dimensional layout! It really brought the kite and cloud paper to life! I made a large kite and gave it a 3D effect using the tray as the base.
TIP 1: Trata de usar algo que ya tienes en casa y que no tienes que comprar. Yo reutilicé una bandeja de madera y la transformé a un diseño dimensional dando vida a la cometa del papel de nubes de la colección "Picnic In The Park", ¡qué inspirador! Hice una cometa gigante y le di un efecto 3D usando la bandeja como base.
To start, I up cycled a square wooden tray and painted the sides of it. I painted the inside yellow and the ouside blue. I used the Art Supply Basics line of acrylic paint. They are fabulous and work really well on wood projects. Then, I trimmed and adhered the “All the Way Up” paper to the size of the tray. After that, I fussy cut the shape of a kite and then machine cut the clouds and the kite tail.

TIP 2: Foam tape is your new best friend if you are looking to add dimension to all your projects. I layered several papers and embellishments under the image and then adhered it to the kite. I also adhered the clouds with foam tape to create a 3D effect. I also added a shaker rainbow, paper ribbons to the kite tail, and foam phrase stickers to the sky. All done! Here’s my sky kite layout.
TIP 2: La cinta foam es tu nuevo mejor amigo para añadir dimensión a todos tus proyectos. He colocado en capas varios papeles y adornos debajo de la imagen y luego lo pegué a la cometa. También pegué las nubes con cinta de espuma para crear un efecto 3D.
