Hello AC friends! I am so excited to share with you a brand new product from American Crafts. Color Pour! Paint pouring is all the rage right now, and I have been wanting to try my hand at it. I was ecstatic when American Crafts shared the new Color Pour products with me! The Color Pour line comes pre-mixed so you don’t have to measure and add a flow medium. It was so simple to pour the paint directly out of the bottles and into the handy pour cups, that I cannot wait to try ALL the colors!
My favorite colors are those of the ocean, so I chose blues, and a little rust to add some warmth to the painting. Look at all the movement on the canvas, and all you have to do is pour, tilt, and let dry. The paint and Cell Magic do all the work for you!
The paints come ready to pour straight out of the bottle, and make it easy for you to create your very first canvas with great results. I have a process video for you below if you want to see just how easily it is done. I added white, black, and gold to the gorgeous blues in the “Galaxy Surge” kit.
Here is a close up of the painting after it has dried for a day, so you can see how the finished piece looks in comparison to the way it looks in the video. It keeps moving and changing, and ends up quite different from when it came out of the flipped cup. How cool!
I had more paint in my cups, so I did a second painting with the same exact colors. It turned out so different! You can do this art with the same colors and get unique results each time. How exciting! That means you could put the art in different areas of your home, and each painting will be unique!
I would love to see what color combos you come up with, and share. American Crafts also has Mix-Ins, to add variety and some sparkle or texture to your piece. They have gold foil flakes too! The combinations are endless with the ways you can use this brand new, on-trend line of products!
