Tips and Tricks for Creating a Mini Album

Hello friends, it’s Lucile! Today, I will be sharing my first creation with the brand new Slice Of Life collection by Amy Tangerine. I love this collection because it is so colorful and the patterns are very nice. With this collection, I made a mini album, perfect for documenting any day!

To create the structure of my album I used cardboard. My album is quite big because I had a lot of photos. I decorated the cover of my album with neutral papers. For the front of the album, I used die cuts with flowers and a polaroid frame.

On the edge I sewed an embellishment. I love to decorate the spine of my albums because I love the way they look when they are stored on a shelf. To assemble the pages of my album I made a simple but strong binding. I folded my paper to create notches on which I stuck my pages.

Inside my album, I used different sized pages. The first page is smaller so that I can see the rest of the album when I open it. I created a pocket to slip my journaling into. I also add a card.

In this album, I created lots of pockets and flaps to add a playful side to the album and even more storage!

I love sewing in my album. For this page, I cut hearts into a paper from the collection and I sewed them to create a border.

I hope this mini album has sparked your creative bug! I look forward to using Slice Of Life collection by Amy Tangerine for future projects! See you soon!
