Hi Ladies! It's Flóra back on the American Crafts Blog. Today, I want to show you how can you add fun and innovative DIY embellishments to your scrapbook pages. For this 12×12 scrapbook layout, I used the Dear Lizzy Here & Now collection. I love making colorful and tropical things, especially on these cold winter days.
For the background, I chose the Everyday Life paper. I love the pretty peach color! I combined this with green and pink elements. I'm really excited about how the color combination turned out. I cut apart the Endless Summer paper and used the pieces along with ephemera elements to create layers. On the top, I adhered my photo.
On the photo, I placed the beautiful title using the Heat Wave Gold Puffy Phrase Thickers. Next to it, I scattered golden stars and added a sun sticker on the other side to create some balance.
I also wanted to add other memories from the holiday, so I decided to enclose sand from the beach in a transparent heart shape. It took only a few minutes to make it with We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool. I love the moving grains of sand, that act as a shaker pocket!
In the end, I added more stickers from 6×12 and puffy sheet. My favorites are the big tropical leaves from the ephemera pack. I decided that the rest of my page was a bit empty, so I fussy cut a few cute flamingos from the Snapshot paper and placed them throughout the layout.
It was super fun to put together this page. It's definitely one of my favorite things I've made as of late. I hope you found some new ideas today here. Thanks for stopping by!
