Planning for 2019 with Journal Studio

Hello friends! Leigh here, to share a set of planning pages in the new Journal Studio line from American Crafts! I love that you can memory keep, plan, bullet journal, and so much more in these standard size travel notebook inserts. The covers are gorgeous too!

I love to add stickers in the front pockets of these covers, and a tag with a paper clip for some encouragement. You could add more stickers sheets if you need to store them for planning on the go. The Crate Paper Journal Covers fit all standard size TN inserts.

To create the week on one page layout, I used the grid insert from the Journal Studio Collection. The left side is for the days of the week, and the right side is for journaling or photo and memory keeping. I added a photo taken during the first week of January, and this works well if you have older kids, or less to document during the week.

I used a planner insert as a template, and drew on the gray lines to separate each day on the left side page. I divided each day into sections without a line, by adding stickers and hand lettering. The Journal Studio Sticker Books have the days of the week, numbers, decorative stickers, and task boxes, and so much more in them. All you need to decorate your planner, like this, is a sticker book, die cuts, and a pen. Of course it is fun to collect the whole collection!

Here is close up of the right side page, used as a memory keeping spot. The patterned paper under all the layers is from the new Head in The Clouds Collection by Shimelle. I like that it resembles pink notebook paper. I added die cuts from the same Journal Studio line, and washi  to hold the photo. The washi acts as a hinge so you can lift the photo up for viewing an extra picture underneath. I added two different washi strips to add more of the turquoise, orange, and pink colors to the right side of the spread. The embellishments and die cuts are grouped from top right, to bottom left.

Flip up the top photo, and a photo of our new senior pet we adopted shows. I went to sign up to foster, and fell in love with him instantly. He is a sweetheart, and is ten years old! We can’t decide whether to call him Peanut, Honey, or Tater Tot, and now I realize these are all foods! Ha! I must be hungry! 🙂

This way of Memory Keeping is easy to keep up with, and is a scaled down version of memory keeping combined with planning. How do you document your planning and memory keeping?

Thank you for visiting today and happy crafting!
