Hello everyone, it’s Lucile! I’m very excited to present you my first achievement for American Craft. Despite the arrival of autumn, I still had lots of photos of this summer to document! So, I really wanted to make a mini album with my photos taken during a weekend at Disneyland Paris. The new American Craft collections allow us to finish the summer/fall transition. I naturally use the "New Day" collection of Dear Lizzy! It is perfect for the last summer photos: very colorful with lots of nice patterns.
To make my mini album I decided to use a structure with an accordion binding. It is simple to do and it allows to easily arrange our pages. For the cover, I used the beautiful paper « Be You ». I also added corners to make it stronger and I hung a beaded tassel at the binding. I didn’t add any other decoration because I found the paper very pretty alone.
Inside, I decided to organize my album with pages of all sizes. I love the unstructured effect in the mini albums. I had fun linking my favorite techniques: sewing, cutting and assembling paper, volume elements …
Here, I had fun sewing on the elements. I love having several small frames in the ephemera, it decorates a photo directly! Depending on the pages, I wanted to create different moods: a floral theme in pink tones, a plant theme in green tones …
Finally, I show you a preview of a few pages. I find that this collection can adapt to many occasions, as well to scrap the photos of your children as your photos of this summer. I hope this mini album will please you and make you want to document your last summer photos with "New Day" collection by Dear Lizzy. Thanks for reading !
