Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here and today I’d like to share with you the very first layout I created with the brand new Sparkle City collection by Shimelle! I’m madly in love with the bright colors of this collection and the fun icons. I was so inspired by the products that I didn’t know where to start!
I decided to go for a starburst design with a twist. I used various building and arrow/sign images to create my starburst arrangement. Any tall linear elements will work great for this design but I especially like the theme of buildings and city lights!
I built my whole arrangement on top of a beautiful purple pattern paper that comes in the collection to have a nice colorful base.
I used my WeR Memory Keepers envelope punch board to create a 4×6 envelope and cut off the top flap. I adhered the envelope in the middle of the page, right under the half-starburst arrangement and connected the two elements together by adding a few fussy cut flowers between them.
Once the main design was in place, I started adding smaller elements cause these little details can make any project look really stunning. I used a couple of birds, clouds and lots of iridescent stars to decorate the sky around my buildings.
I also added a couple of rub-on pieces cause the images fit perfectly on the empty spots I wanted to fill. Last but not least I added a couple of white ink splatters for contrast against the colorful background.
To finish off the design, I added my photo and title, using the gorgeous Thickers and letter stickers that come in the collection.
