Hello crafty friends, it’s Lucile! Today, I am here to show you how to make cards with Vicki Boutin's new collection "Let's Wander." I love this collection because it is so colorful and has great travel inspiration. Vicki Boutin's collections always give me so many creative ideas for mixed media.
For these cards, I wanted to show you how you can make completely different cards even if you are using the same base. I started by cutting stars of all colors from a sheet of patterned paper.
Next, I drew four different colored watercolor lines using Vicki Boutin's art crayons. I have been using them for a long time and I love them! They are simple to use and the colors are beautiful! Then, I sorted my stars by colors and I glued them according to my color lines.
As a finishing touch, I sewed a line over each column of stars. I love adding sewing to my creations to add some more dimension. Finally, I added a message cut out of a paper. I used foam dots to attach it for added volume.
For the second card, I started by drawing a circle. Next, I drew several straight lines coming out of the circle. Then, I used the same technique with my first card. I drew colored lines with art crayons, then I glued my stars according to the colors, and sewed a line across the top.
Last, I added a globe sticker to the center. I cut the globe from one of the patterned papers. Finally, I added "explore" to the center of my map using 3D foam dots. I hope you liked these cards! I am happy to have helped you see the Let's Wander collection come to life. See you soon with another new creation!
