How to Create Your own Halloween Decor
Hello crafty friends! Today's post is all about Halloween! I absolutely love this holiday. I enjoy celebrating with my friends and decorating my house for the occasion. This year, I wanted to change the classic Halloween colors for my decorations. So I gave myself the challenge of using the Willow 1canoe2 collection. I love the how it turned out. It's so original!
First I made a decorative frame. I cut out the words "trick or treat" with my silhouette Cameo on a paper from the Willow collection. I stuck it on a darker paper with 3D foam dots to add volume. Next, I tied the floral side with the Halloween theme. I fussy cut flowers out of more paper from the Willow collection. Then I added bats, which I folded in half to make them pop out. To top it off, I used some enamel dots.
Next, I created pumpkin jars and put some candy inside, because we cannot have Halloween without candy! I cut my boss pumpkin jars using my silhouette Cameo. I created two different sizes in different papers from the collection. I chose to use non-typical Halloween colors, but the results are similar.
Finally, I fashioned some regular straws into witch brooms. Next, I cut a large strip of paper. I cut some fringes and then wrapped the band around my straw. I glued a strip of finer paper of another color to fix the broom. Lastly, I added a bat with a 3D foam and a charm. These will be perfect to decorate my glasses at my upcoming Halloween party.
I hope you will like these decorating ideas to celebrate Halloween. I wish you a nice Halloween party. See you soon for new creations, Lucile
