When I’m working with a collection, some of my favorite elements are the small bits and pieces; the puffy stickers, the decorative brads and all the gorgeous detail stickers. But as a 12×12 scrapbooker I tend to use up the larger eye catching pieces first in my projects. For this reason I’m so excited to show you how I use up those gorgeous little leftovers and I’m even more excited to see how the other design team members put their small pieces to use.
When I’m working with small images and phrases I like to scale the entire project down to make the elements really pop off the page. I decided to make some sweet circular cards on a small scale to allow the stickers to be the focal points without a lot of excess white space.
I also love that this concept works beautifully for adorable stickers that you’re having trouble using in a story layout. For example I have been trying to use those sweet lovebirds for months now, but they haven’t fit on any of my pages. Now, I can use them in their own little scene, send this card to my honey and feel as though I have done them justice.
The great thing about a small image on a card, is that you can pair it with the smallest of phrase stickers as a sentiment. All it needs then are a few hearts or enamel dots, maybe a bit of stitching for a textural element and you can call it done.
So next time you fall in love with a sticker set. Let those little beauties shine in their own right by making them a focal point on an enclosure card. You’ll always be ready for gift giving!
