Add Dimension to Your Layout with Shimelle’s Field Trip Collection

Hello crafty friends, it’s Lucile today! I am so excited to show you a layout made with the brand new new Field Trip collection by Shimelle. I love this collection! It's such a versatile collection. To make this layout, I chose of photo of my trip to Reunion. I think the collection was a perfect match for this particular trip.

To make my layout I really wanted to use a particular paper. This patterned paper was so detailed I decided to just keep the border in order to keep some white space for my photo.

Next, I stuck it on a blue paper. I left an edge open on the left side as well. I wanted to bring out some leaves, so I took my white thread and my needle to sew following the veins of the leaves. I also added the same leaves over other leaves to add volume.

I bordered my photo with a pink paper and pasted it down the page in the vegetation. Then I cut some text from a paper and stuck it next to my picture.

To finish, I cut insects and dinosaurs out of the paper from the collection. I pasted them with 3D foam squares to add volume. I did this while keeping a landscape in mind.

I hope you will like this layout and that it will give you ideas for using the all new Field Trip collection. I'll see you soon for a new creation!
