Hello! It’s Meghann Andrew here today! After the Christmas decorations have come down, I always feel like I have an empty house, but with the new Details 2 Enjoy collection from American Crafts, it is easy to fill those décor gaps with easy, DIY frames! I recently created two easy spring frames in just a few minutes using this fun collection!
First off, I want to emphasize that these are so easy! Different backgrounds, frames and embellishment in the Details 2 Enjoy collection come together easily to create unique décor pieces! Even if you’re not a DIY aficionado, I promise that you can create these!
This frame started with the Do It Yourself pocket frame, which I started finishing by adding black acrylic paint. While that was drying, I put together the insert using the Do It Yourself Floral Gather kit. I loved the floral felt element included in the kit, and wanted to bring that spring feel to the background, too! I grabbed the botanical print from the background pad, turned the shiplap insert over, and adhered the patterned paper directly to the smooth backside. This means that I can still add something to the shiplap side when I want to change up the frame!
To the Gather kit, I also added the “grateful” laser cut word, which I painted black. Then I added small, gold foam alphabet stickers to make my custom saying, “Gather with grateful hearts.” Think about how you can use these kits to make something unique for your home!
My second frame celebrates the love we share as a family. I started with the small stained pocket frame, adding the shiplap insert. I painted the “love” laser cut word coral to match the beautiful felt flowers, by combining the orange slice and coral macaroon Vicki Boutin acrylic paints. Just like on my last frame, I added the small, gold foam alphabet stickers to create my custom saying.
To give this frame that “homey” feel, I added the beautiful Saturday Afternoon card stock sticker house, green border strip and hearts. This was such a fun and easy project for me! The hardest part about it is the many directions you could take your frames. Trust me, combining your AC collections with the Details 2 Enjoy products will create endless possibilities for adding décor to your home! Have fun and be creative!
