Craft Organization Ideas to Make your Life Easier

Hey there, friends! It’s Meghann Andrew here with you! Today, I will be sharing how I keep my most-used tools and supplies in a convenient yet beautiful place. I like a clean workspace with bright pops of color, and my tool organization is the same! Let’s take a look.

I have a few key pieces that always sit on my desktop. I want them to be functional, yet beautiful! Since most of my workspace is white, the things I keep my tools in tend to be as well.

Who else loves the rotary stamps that come out with AC collections?! I have quite a collection of these super-usable stamps, and I store them at arms-reach all together in a sweet ceramic bowl on my desk. Any kind of bowl would work, but this one with the white exterior and teal interior matches my space perfectly! Having them right on my desktop helps me to remember to use them often.

My most-used tools on my desk are scissors, adhesive, spatulas and water pens. Instead of keeping them in a drawer, I chose a pretty metal planter from Ikea with a dainty top to store them right on my desktop. It also helps that many AC tools are a teal color, the primary accent color in my crafty space!

Not everything on my desktop is white! I just fell in love with this storage tin from the Vicki Boutin's All The Good Things collection, and wanted to use it to display my most colorful mixed-media products, including acrylic paint, markers and brushes. This pop of color at the corner of my desk just makes me happy.

I am lucky to have two large, shallow drawers at my standing desk, and the drawer closest to where I stand is my primary large tool drawer, as well as my storage space for pens, which I keep in utensil dividers. This drawer also houses my paper trimmers, Thickers alignment guides, rulers and an oven mat for when I get messy with paint or spray!

Not everything belongs on your desktop—select the tools that you grab again and again, but you can store them in a beautiful way that fits the style of your space. Keep an eye out for pretty bowls, tins, and planters that can dress up your space, and also keep you organized! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
