Create Darling Teacher Appreciation Cards with Lucile

Hello friends, it’s Lucile! I am here today with a new project. The school year will be over soon, which means teacher appreciation gifts are needed. Today, I will show you how to make two colorful cards to add to your gifts. We know teachers love handmade and personalized gifts. To make these cards, I used the Stay Sweet collection by Amy Tangerine.

To make the first card, I started by creating paper crayons in different colors. It's very simple, trust me! I cut a rectangle and a triangle and assembled them to form a crayon shape. I wanted to follow the colors of the rainbow. I sewed lines to mimic pencil writing. Then I cut the title with my  Silhouette Cameo. To give it dimension, I put a patterned paper underneath and fixed it with 3D foam stickers to add volume. Small hearts added the perfect finishing touch to this card.

For the second card, I started by cutting the shape of a paint palette. I sewed the outlines to add volume. With a punch, I cut circles in different papers to make small paint stains. I cut my title with my Silhouette Cameo and added a patterned paper underneath. Then, I glued my paint palette with 3D foam stickers to add volume. I ended up adding embellishments.

To accompany my cards, I created envelopes. I used my 123 punch board from We R Memory Keepers to create the envelopes. I used inflated ephemera to decorate them.

I hope these two cards will have given you ideas to accompany your gifts for teachers. I'll see you soon for a new creation!
