Hello everyone! It’s Meghann Andrew with you today. Easter is coming up, and my family and I are getting our Sunday best ready! But before the holiday arrives, I thought I would get last year’s holiday documented in my traveler’s notebook. I did just that with the help of the gorgeous new Creative Devotion products!
This cheery traveler’s notebook spread is layered with gorgeous products to help me capture the beauty of the day. First, I started out by adding a 6” high strip of the Tour Guide patterned paper from the Sparkle City collection across my spread. I loved using the pretty pink floral on my page background, but it needed to be toned down a bit. Instead of grabbing a piece of plain vellum, I used two sheets from the scripture paper pad to create another layer on top! This pretty vellum includes delicate pink, teal, and yellow colors; it was the perfect overlay for my background. To hide the area on the spine where I added adhesive to the back of the vellum, I topped with a 1.5” x 6” piece of the yellow dot Sparkle City Grab and Go paper. The final addition to my spread background were my photos from the day, sized at 3” x 3” and 3” x 4”.
When I create, I love using products in unique ways. You can use so many of these products in so many ways! The Creative Devotion line is very versatile. For example, instead of using the Creative Devotion bookmarks to mark a page in my Bible, I layered it underneath my 3” x 4” photo. The phrase “this is the day that the Lord has made,” was perfect for Easter Sunday. I topped it with the “thank you Jesus” sticker from the Creative Devotion phrase stickers. I fell in love with the watercolor stickers from the watercolor sticker kit, and chose the butterfly and cross to color in using the watercolor set from the Stay Sweet collection. I placed these next to the bookmark at the bottom corner of my 3” photo.
My title came next. I started with the word “joy” from the scripture stickers. Next, I built onto that using the phrase stickers, alphabet stickers, and the word “love” from the watercolor sticker kit. It fit perfectly into the corner next to the cross.
Tucked behind my photo, in between the vellum sheet and floral Tour Guide paper, I added my journaling card, which I cut from the Sparkle City Dream Big cut-apart paper. Before journaling using the new Creative Devotion journaling pens, I added the “everlasting love” phrase from the anchor stamp set, then a pink paint smear rub-on.
To finish off my spread, I added three clear flower stickers from the watercolor sticker kit in a triangle around the spread. Next, I used the colorful circle washi tape to the bottom edge of the floral paper to tie all of the colors in the spread together. The colorful chapter tabs were the perfect product to add the date to the spread, using the Creative Devotion date stamp.
Even if you don’t journal in your Bible, you can use the new Creative Devotion products to document family memories in your traveler’s notebook. I hope this spread has given you some ideas on how to do that! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
