Hello American Crafts Fans! It's Terhi here again. This time with the simplest and yet the sweetest layout I’ve ever done. I absolutely adore spring colors!
Spring is my favorite time of the year. I love watching the world come to life after a long winter. Easter is perfect time to celebrate this, though of course I appreciate the religious meanings of it as well.
For this layout, I wanted to add some fun elements in addition to the classic spring colors. This is why I chose to use a photograph of my god-children grinning and having a wheelbarrow ride while we were starting to do some spring tasks in my Mom's garden.
One of my favorite elements on this layout are the easter eggs! I used my electronic cutting machine to cut the eggs using card stock in three different colors. I also cut the leaves using the greenest paper I could find from “Stay Sweet” line from Amy Tangerine.
The eggs are filled with matching pattered papers, and I placed them on the background making a nest shaped design. The leaves are supporting the design and giving it some extra dimension. To attach the leaves, I used foam dots instead of glue or double-sided tape as this makes them much stand out more.
This design didn’t need much more. That’s why I chose to fussy cut just a few flowers and attach them around the photograph. Next, I added the clear puffy stickers here and there. I finished the layout with watercolor drops around the nest.
Hopefully this Easter layout gives you some idea to capture your Easter memories this year. Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!
Terhi xx
