Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here and today I’m really thrilled to share with you the first layout I created with the brand new Slice of Life collection by Amy Tangerine! This collection is absolutely gorgeous! It creates a warm and cozy fall feeling all while having a pretty bright color palette.
With this project, I’d like to show you how simple it is to put together a beautiful minimalistic layout that uses a very small amount of products. I’m only going to use two sheets of pattern paper and a couple of images from the ephemera pack. In the end I actually also added a glitter heart sticker on my page but that’s just optional. You can definitely rock this page with only a few paper supplies.
Since we are not going to embellish this page a lot, we need a strong design element for the background. Triangular shapes like arrows and chevrons are always the best for that, so I pulled a pattern paper with a large chevron pattern. Next, I cut the middle part out.
I used the top and bottom piece to frame my page. Next, I placed all the rest of my elements in the center. This way the design leads your eyes to the most important things on the page, like the photo! In the middle of the page, I created a cluster of frames for my photo and then I embellished them with some floral images. At a first glance this collection didn’t have a ton of floral images but you can stretch your supplies by fussy cutting the patterned paper. I found a beautiful floral pattern and cut out a bunch of floral images to use around my photo.
I hope this inspires you to go out and create your own minimalistic layout design!
