Hi there! It’s Obed again on the AC blog! Who said Christmas crafts had to be red and green? Just a warning, you might want to get your scissors, glitter, and colorful paper ready because what I’m about to show you is the Christmas dream of colorful crafters. Are you ready?
I love all things Christmas! I adore the music, the ugly sweaters, the lights, the decor, and specially all the holiday crafting. I always like to make several Christmas craft projects and this time I’ve decided to make a bright and colorful Christmas album. Each year, I try to use different colors in my projects. This year I’ve decided to go with a non-traditional bright and colorful theme. For the album, I’ve used the “Write at Home” collection by Damask Love. Who said you can’t make anything Christmas?
Say hello to my colorful Christmas. Two pieces of glitter paper put together with a Paige Taylor Evan’s tree cutfile is the perfect match for the front cover. Just add a title and some embellishments and you’re good to go. I used a thicker word covered in glitter and a few heart and star stickers from the collection to add a little decorations near the tree. The two wooden nutcrackers are the cutest, I found them at a local crafts store and had to add them to the album. I painted them bright yellow, added a small pom pom on the top and glued them to the cover.
This album is 7,5 x 7,5 inches and my idea is for it to be a different kind of Christmas album, not your traditional one. I want it to be my Christmas memories album for pictures, tickets, postcards and even new recipes for the holidays. What do you think, do you like the idea? For the spine, I used a hidden paper hinge technique. It’s super easy and I just love how it looks.
For the inside, colorful and patterned simple pages put together with tags and pockets are what I love. I haven’t decorated them much yet because the Holidays have just started so let’s get crafting.
