Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra back on the American Crafts blog. Today I am sharing some tips and tricks for creating last minute thank you cards. At the end of the year with all the holidays and events, its hard to find time to write thank you notes! This will take you less than 20 minutes. For today’s post I used the colorful Amy Tangerine Slice of Life collection. Let’s dive in!
My first tip is to get a boxed cards set from your favorite American Crafts collection. These boxes include several designs ready made cards and envelopes. The base is ready, you don’t need to trim the card base cardstock and even patterned paper for the cover. This saves so much time!
My second tip is to stick with a collection. You may not notice this but selecting, searching, and matching the right papers and embellishments takes way too much time. If you use one line it is guaranteed that everything will coordinate. You can just grab the stickers and other embellishments and layer them on each other. It's that simple!
My third tip is to repeat the layout. It’s fun to play with gorgeous supplies when you have tons of time but if you are in a hurry just make one card and copy it over and over. This way you don’t need to think so much. For my cards, I used the following recipe: first, add tags, frames or other bigger pieces on the background. Place a big die cut piece in the middle. Under that, add a title using Thickers and Alpha Stickers.
That is it for today! I hope you find my tips useful. They will work for any occasion when you are in a hurry! Happy Crafting! Flóra
