Hi American Crafts fans! It’s Flóra here today. I am sharing my very first post as an American Crafts Design Team member. How exciting! I created something fun to give you inspiration and ideas about how to decorate your home for the upcoming Thanksgiving.
I had a few cute pumpkins at home and thought to myself "why not embellish them and use them as an empty canvas?" I decorated all of them in a different way, but to keep the style I used only one paper collection. I picked the super cute Dear Lizzy She's Magic line. I like the colors of the collection and especially the floral patterns.
I wanted to highlight why I am thankful, so I decorated the first pumpkin with a photo. I added fussy cut flowers, phrase Thickers, and tiny puffy stickers. I used foam tape to adhere all the details. I am sure a hot glue gun would also work well on the pumpkins!
I decorated the smallest pumpkin with only fussy cut flowers to keep things simple. I cut them out from Magic 12×12 double-sided patterned paper. They perfectly match with the colors of the pumpkin.
I thought it would be fun to add a title on one of the pumpkins. I used the Stay Tuned Alpha Thicker to create the Thankful title. I also adhered an ephemera, a puffy bird, and more flowers of course.
These cute pumpkins look best together! These would be perfect on the Thanksgiving dinner table or at the top of the fireplace! I hope you like my idea and will try out. I think kids could also enjoy decorating pumpkins with scrapbooking materials and techniques too! Happy crafting!
