Back-to-School DIY Pencil Cup

Hello everyone!  I hope that you are enjoying Back to School week!  I created this simple DIY Pencil Holder using repurposed items from around my home.  This pencil holder would make perfect little teacher gifts for the first day of school or could look super cute at home at a homework station.

Steps:
Grab 5 wooden rulers + 2 sticks of hot glue, an old soup can and a saw.  I cut my rulers down to 4 1/4 each.  You can get 2 pieces out of each ruler.  Next, use your hot glue gun to adhere each ruler to the outside of your can and continue in a circle till it's done.  After you have finished adhering your pieces use a rubber band to hold them in place until the glue fully dries.  Finally I wrapped a piece of twine around my finished pencil holder and strung a sticker through the twine to hang (tip: you can brush the backside of your sticker with baby powder if you don't want it to be sticky anymore).

I love the way it turned out and it was so easy to make!  This pencil holder would make a great teacher gift filled with pencils, succulents or other office items.
